About the role of Volunteer

Are you interested in volunteering at Midessanime? If so, please continue reading!

Agreeing to volunteer for Midessanime should not be taken lightly. Volunteering is fun and challenging, but rewarding work; you will work mostly on your feet and experience the convention from an operational point of view. There ARE benefits however: getting to see how a convention works from the inside, making new friends, volunteer swag, and meeting our celebrities and special guests during Volunteer and Celebrity Guest luncheons.

Each volunteer gets admission to the convention for the weekend. You will also be provided with some meals, light snacks and water, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday,  and a free autograph on Sunday for Load-Out crew!

Please don’t volunteer if you don’t have time to work at least 2 four hour shifts on either Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.

Volunteers pay their dues by working hard to serve thousands of guests each day of the convention. If you can’t commit, or think volunteering will conflict with your favorite program or activity, you should pay for admission instead.

Approving you as a Volunteer, assigning you a position, and expecting you to be there, only for you to bail, causes enormous issues for the other volunteers and staff. If you do believe this is something you want to do, please click the link below to fill out the volunteer registration form.
